Sweet Tastes of Torah was launched in February 2010 by the North Jersey Board of Rabbis (NJBR). NJBR members—rabbis of all streams of Judaism, who live or work in Bergen, North Hudson, or eastern Passaic counties—wanted to share their love of Torah, their love of teaching, and their love of learning with the community. While in the past Sweet Tastes of Torah sessions have focused on the theme of the parsha of the week, this year we began with a keynote on a timely topic—ethics in troubled times. Following Havdalah, and a keynote, attendees had a chance to take two classes—short nibbles to be sure! Sweet Tastes of Torah ends with another nosh—dessert provided by our sponsors—schmoozing with friends, and Israeli folk dancing.
